Scholastic is widely recognized as the largest publisher and distributor of children’s books in the world. With $2 billion in annual revenues, they are also one of the largest publishing companies. Scholastic hired ServerLogic to provide architectural guidance and oversight for their redesign and redevelopment of their largest website – Scholastic Teachers.
Scholastic engaged ServerLogic's Drupal team to help them create a functional specification and use cases, architect and develop the solution on Drupal (core modules, contributed modules, and custom development), assist their infrastructure team in the design and creation of the server architecture, work with their off-shore QA team on testing, content migration, deployment, and on-going support and maintenance.
Over the course of the project ServerLogic’s team worked closely with Scholastic to design, build, test, and train Scholastic’s team on their new Drupal platform, as well as support and ultimately take the lead on migrating nearly 200,000 pieces of content from their old website to their new Drupal based solution.
