Project: Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP Integration
Scope: ServerLogic provided Senior Project Management and Application Development expertise to lead the integration of the Wyse proprietary ERP system and Provia’s ViaWare Warehouse Management System (http://www.provia.com). The ViaWare WMS was configured and modified to support the following functionality:
- Distribution - The ViaWare application was connected to their manufacturing plants in Taiwan through the their Oracle-based legacy ERP system to secure advanced shipment notification, (ASN) and updates to in-transit data for inbound receiving and put-away.
- Inventory Management -The warehousing process was integrated with software functionality to provide bar code labeling, RF scanning and verification, computer directed put-away, locator system, cycle counts, inventory integrity and audit ability, FIFO, engineering change notice and record keeping, serial number tracking and computer generated picking algorithms.
- Production -The WMS functionality was modified to support identifying, tracking and generating the paperwork to support light assembly.
- Returned Goods -The system was integrated with a manual returned goods process to automate and track receiving, sorting, light repair/refurbishing, reclamation and recycling of returned items.
- Quality Control - The inbound process was redesigned to support inbound quality inspections, out –of-box audit, production process improvements and corrective actions, ship hold process, finished goods inventory and spare parts audits.
- Traffic/Customs/Export Documentation –Software functionality developed and modified to support domestic and international documentation and billing information to the Oracle database.

With ServerLogic's assistance, Wyse was able to meet its project commitments and successfully implement the cost savings associated with having the ViaWare WMS software integrated with their existing ERP system.
